We have come to a very important mile stone in the great work in Kharkov, Ukraine. Faith Bible Baptist Church in Kharkov is the very first Bible believing Baptist church in all of Eastern Ukraine. This is the very first Baptist Church in a city with more souls than the entire state of Kentucky. At this point in time we have the opportunity to erect a church building for the glory or our Lord and Saviour.

This new building will serve many purposes. The church will house all their literature, printing ministry, Bible Institute, and give a greatly needed physical presence to be looked up to as “VALID and LEGITIMATE” in the government’s eyes.

We have some of God’s choicest servants who are willing to give their time and experience in construction of this building. The “weather window” is open for only a short time, so we have to move quickly. I would love to talk to you about this exciting time. It may be that you have a group of men who would like to put their hand in the work. I am beseeching you in Johns’ behalf to prayerfully consider how you or your church family can help in this great work.  Below these pictures are the expenses that are needed. So It Begins......

Below are some of the specific expenses :

 

 1)   $10,000 - airfare for 9 men to fly over to Ukraine, from May 15th to May 30th.

These funds need to be sent to Faith Baptist Church /Designated to O’Brien Building Project

(Needed as soon as possible for tickets)

 

 2)   $24,000 - prefab/precast cement plates for roofing/flooring.

(Funds needed by May)

 

 3)   $9,000 - heating system We hope to have the whole thing with windows/doors by snowfall. But without heating – well, we’ve been there. It’s hard to get people to walk thru snowy weather just to sit inside a building that is 35 degrees.

(Funds needed by September)

 

4)   $4,500 doors/windows. 3-pane windows for sub-zero weather are expensive, as they are brought in from Poland/Germany.
